Sydney (Hearts) Andrew Bird

After three glorious shows at the Spiegeltent, Andrew Bird decided that just wasn’t enough. So a fourth Sydney show was added at the Vanguard on January 28. And it’s already sold out. That’s four sold out shows in just over three weeks. Not bad Mr. Bird, not bad. I missed out on the Sydney Festival shows so I am very much looking forward to the Vanguard gig.

I hope Andrew Bird is trucking around his new tour EP, Soldier On. While most of the stuff has been released in some form somewhere else, there is probably something here Andrew Bird fans have not yet heard. Can anyone who saw him this week let me know if the merch table had this?

And after their BDO shows, Dappled Cities Fly will be undertaking their first Australian tour since returning from New York. And with support from Sparkadia and The Seabellies, these are sure to be pretty great shows. Check FasterLouder for all the support and ticketing info.
