LCD Soundsystem Announce BDO Sideshows
While we all wait for the Arcade Fire sideshow announcement (fingers crossed for January 24 at the Enmore!) a whole whack of other Big Day Out sideshow announcements have been made. The most intriguing…LCD Soundsystem. Unfortunately, I already have tickets for Joanna Newsom the night of the Sydney sideshow. I’ll just have to make their BDO performance count.
LCD Soundystem
January 26 – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
January 31 – The Forum, Melbourne
Both gigs will see support come from the recently returned Dappled Cities Fly. I guess that DFA remix continues to do good things for the Dappled boys.
For other sideshows including UNKLE, Dizzee Rascal, Carl Cox, Billy Bragg, and The Nightwatchman see this thread at the BDO forums which has all ticketing information and whatnot.

Win Butler of Arcade Fire fame told Triple J in an interview that there’d be side shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
I wish they’d give Brisbane some love… I was just getting over the Blonde Redhead rejection.

Billy Bragg and LCD Soundsystem same night it seems. I’m tempted to get LCD Soundsystem tickets especially since I’ve been listening to Sound of Silver a lot while I was in NYC.
It really would help if they also announced Spoon and Arcade Fire shows so I could decide whether or not to get LCD Soundsystem tickets because of potential clashes.
