Live Andrew Bird Stuff
Since seeing Andrew Bird live last weekend I’ve been listening to his stuff quite a bit. I picked up his latest Fingerlings release (an ongoing series of live albums) which has been the perfect way to relive the brilliance of his live show. I highly encourage you to pick up any one of these three live albums. They’re cheap and you can order them here.
That being said, Andrew Bird is also a taper/trade friendly artist if his cooperation with Archive.org is anything to go by. Archive.org is an ongoing project to archive as many live shows as possible by artists who consent to have their work recorded and shared. In the comments on my review of Andrew Bird’s recent Sydney show, Quinn pointed out his favourite live Andrew Bird recording from this 2003 show. Here’s just a sampling:
