25 for 2009: Thirteen
Album #13: Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix by Phoenix
I kind of regret having this album so high. It’s not amazing all the way through but any record that starts off with songs as great as Lisztomania, 1901, and Fences deserves at least some recognition at the end of the year. The slickest record I heard in 2009.

Song #13: Cannibal Resource by Dirty Projectors
Stillness Is The Move seemed to grab all the attention but it was Bitte Orca‘s opener that really hooked me. I’m a sucker for killer female backing vocals!
